Felix for a Great Cause!

The cat is out of the bag! The gorgeous hat that I test knit for one of my favorite designers, Megan Sanders, is now live on Ravelry- it's called Felix, and it's a fantastic pattern.
Megan is very generously donating all proceeds from this pattern's sales to the Hunger in America charity until December 8th. From the pattern page:

"This prevalent issue was brought to my attention when my oldest son started attending preschool. It was there where I met a little boy who was obviously starving. I don’t want to go into too much details, but I knew from the teacher that his family was doing as much as they could but with low income and multiple siblings it was very hard. His best meals were from preschool. The fact that it was so close to home was truly heart breaking. My area has some great local food banks and we have a local grocery store that does bagged meals for $10 to feed 100 people that I happily contributed to. But, I wanted to do a little more on a national level. That’s why I’m donating the proceeds from this pattern (after PayPal fees) to this charity. Please, share the pattern and the story, I would love to raise as much money as possible. And if you would like to donate personally, please follow the link above."

Please check it out- it is very reasonably priced at only $2. The pattern is well written, has no charts, and is a quick knit. It would make a wonderful last minute gift for someone special this holiday season!

In fact, I was so moved by Megan's generosity, that I wanted to keep the positive momentum going and give one lucky Instagram follower a copy of the pattern! I tried to keep this as simple as possible (this is my first Instagram giveaway, after all)- so just follow me and comment on the repost of the above picture with your Ravelry name to enter for a chance to win. On Monday, December 7th I'll choose one lucky person and gift them the pattern on Ravelry.

Definitely go check out Megan's other patterns as well- they're all gorgeous- and join her Ravelry group, TV Nerd Knits

Good luck!!!
